This collection marks the first time a Colombian fashion brand is featured at Target.

The Museum at FIT, guests encounter two looks, one by the Colombian designer and 2021 LVMH Prize semi-finalist Kika Vargas, and another by the Mexican-American designer Brenda Equihua.

LVMH Prize: After studying art in Chicago and fashion at Marangoni in Milan, Kika Vargas, the 37-year-old Bogotá-born designer, honed her craft at Missoni.

As a young girl in Bogotá, Colombia, Kika Vargas had a dream of one day becoming a fashion designer.

Target’s latest design partnership is with beloved brands Sergio Hudson, La Ligne and Kika Vargas, and filled with closet staples you don’t want to miss out on.

Long before launching her namesake label, Kika Vargas dreamed of designing clothes that were inspired by and rooted in her Colombian heritage.

Kika Vargas is a leading Colombian designer and the country’s first finalist for the coveted LVMH award. Her defiant silhouettes are helping cement Colombia’s reputation in global fashion. She lives between Bogotá, Miami, and Madrid.

Kika Vargas is a designer working between Madrid, New York and her native Bogota, which serve as the main influences behind her line.

Kika Vargas’s approach to design might be a little more look-at-me than La Ligne’s, with colorful hand-drawn prints featured on the standout dresses from the collection.

Kika Vargas has combined a puffball set of sleeves (not to mention the hem) and a ruffled neckline to create a dress that is romantic and playful in equal parts.

For fashion obsessives, capsules from Sergio Hudson, La Ligne, and Kika Vargas are an entry point to luxury-meets-everyday layering. For the designers, they're a career milestone.
